Officers Inspection

Officer Inspection I mentioned last week about our visitors, Sir and Sarge. This week I'll continue with our army training. While NHB and I went to change into our British Army Number 2s, Master continued to chat with his guests. Both NHB and I were a little nervous as we had both admired how well turned out Master's guests were. Both were in their number 2s and looked every bit the real thing. Their parade shoes where bulled and polished to perfection, their uniforms pressed and as for their buttons on their uniforms well they literally gleamed. Comments (5)

NHB Corner Time This week master entertained some guests he had met on the Gear Fetish website and NHB and I where engaged to serve as required. The purpose of the meeting over a snack was to meet each other and swap some knowledge. Master was to provide knowledge on CP while the guests provided some training in basic British Army drill. Fit for royals I’ve been wearing the new house boy uniform for nearly a couple of months now. It still feel so smart to wear I thought I’d talk about the uniform a bit. The original announcement notice about the uniform was published by master, and I felt it would be a good idea to add to that with my own impressions. The uniform as you see has a number of options available with it by including both the Eton jacket and waistcoat either in combinations or separately. We have also used the uniform with a normal black tie for daytime occasions and black bow tie in the evenings. A special occasion has not come up yet with the formality to warrant the white bow tie. Short Back and Sides

Barber It’s recently been requested that I write a little something about haircuts and they’re approached in the SHB household. It’s true to say that although I am not a fulltime houseboy, unlike SHB himself, I am still required to submit to a similar level of control as that of Smart House Boy, control that also includes the style and length of hair which I am permitted to have. When I first got into contact with Master I had a sort of scruffy mop top hair cut and a fairly bushy beard (hard to believe now I know) and was ordered to shave my head, and face, before I was allowed to visit. Since that day Master has kept a close eye on my hair and has cut it as and when he feels it is needed. Comments (3)

Square Rig One of our readers has kindly pointed out some slight errors with the pictures of myself and NHB in our Royal Navy square rig uniforms. The uniform includes some black ribbon and a white lanyard that really we did not know what to do with. After some correspondence I think we might have got it right. House Boy’s Final Visit to Egypt
